We are celebrating another International Women’s Day. Every year, we focus on a fresh theme for the empowerment and support of women. We have a number of projects and activities planned on the topic, all of which are focused on the development of women. This year, another tagline brought up a much more significant matter. The topic for International Women’s Day, #BreakTheBias, emphasizes the whole concept of women empowerment, particularly on breaking down all inequalities in the treatment of women. The motto encourages people to participate in a range of exciting activities since it requires a shift away from traditional practices. Gender bias exists everywhere, from the womb to the grave, from birth to death, from home to office. Bias restricts women’s overall growth. Let’s take a look at how women overcome these biases to build their careers and strive for a better future.

Barriers to better life

After many years of continuous efforts and initiatives, the situation has greatly improved. Unfortunately, gender bias persists even in modern culture. This has always constrained women at every step of their fundamental development. Who is responsible for the advancement of women with honorable identities?

Girls who have got an education are more likely to have success in their personal, professional, economic, and social life. Early marriages are a serious obstacle to their personal gratification and career advancement. As they become more family-oriented, the majority of them drop out of school midway through their marriage.

Career push

The system in which we live has made a lot of advancements to support women. However, society has yet to fully recognize all of women’s rights. Discrimination occurs at every life phase, including childhood, adolescence, youth, and the old age. Perhaps education will play an important part in women’s empowerment. Better education empowers them to explore more possibilities.

Prospective advancement

It’s great that more women are looking for jobs after completing their education. This will undoubtedly eliminate many personal biases and have a positive impact on women’s empowerment. Due to a variety of circumstances, there are still numerous barriers that prevent women from achieving successful jobs. Many of them have overcome all of these obstacles through perseverance, dedication, and devotion. It’s great to see so many female students at universities and colleges.

Representation matters

Companies and employers should put a special focus on encouraging women to work and recruit. Through their leadership qualities, women are more effective than men in propelling society forward. So equal representation, as with males, is necessary.
