For the past two weeks, Infolks was brimming with excitement. Why? 🤔 Do you have any ideas…? Yes. It was our Company Annual Trip!
It was a two-day trip to Wayanad, the green paradise nestled among the mountains.
COMPANY ANNUAL TRIP (DAY – 1)
At the time of sunrise, Infolksians were busy getting ready for the trip. Everyone arrived at our office at 7 a.m. sharp. We were eagerly waiting for the bus. Our excitement was at its peak.
We greeted our bus with thunderous cheers. We had a fun-filled bus journey with an energized team.
WAYANAD : THE GREEN PARADISE OF KERALA
We reached Wayanad at afternoon. With its incredible natural beauty and chilly climate, Wayanad is said to be one of the top tourist destinations in God’s own country. This land is pure, clean, alluring, and hypnotizing, yet it is rich in culture and history.
We stopped at Lakkidi viewpoint first, which is the gateway to Wayanad. We saw many people enjoying the beauty of nature there. Nine hairpin bends can be found on the lush Ghats leading to Wayanad. Each hairpin bend creates new territory. The misty peaks highlight Wayanad’s splendour. On the way, we explored the virgin beauty of the Wayanad Hills.
We reached ‘Wayanad Churam’, the beautiful view of curved roads. At the time of arrival, a nice comedy of Pappu from the movie TP Balagopalan MA flashed through my mind. We enjoyed the scenic beauty and caught a glimpse of the Wayanad Ghat roads from there. We felt that the Ghat roads were one of the most adventurous routes to drive on. After spending some time admiring the expansive vista of the Wayanad hill stations, we realized we had entered paradise.
We arrived at “the welcome gate” quite quickly. Passed the Wayanad welcome gate and proceed directly to the base of the chain tree. It is a reminder of Wayanad’s history.
HEAVENLY STAY IN VYTHIRI MEADOWS
We arrived at Vythiri Meadows around noon after an entertaining bus ride with music, dance, fun, etc.
We felt the pristine beauty of nature and enjoyed it at Vythiri Meadows. It was a location to get away from the bustle of the city and spend time with our friends. We checked into our resort, it took an hour to unpack and stretch our legs before lunch.
DAZZLING AND BEAUTIFUL TEA GARDENS
It was time to go sightseeing. And, we liked the drive along the winding lanes of Wayanad, surrounded by beautiful greenery as we conquered the elevations.
We travel through smooth roads that take us to the vast tea gardens, which look like a paradise on earth. a hilly area where nature had fashioned a blend of a calming environment, lovely tea plantations, evergreen hill ranges, and other natural treasures.
We will forget about the hectic pace of city life, while visiting the Wayanad tea estate. It was a lovely location with mist-covered hills and crystal-clear mountain streams.
WANDERLUST IN 900 KANDI
We went Jeep trekking to 900 Kandi. At 900 Kandi, the magic begins. Life moves at its own gentle rhythm in this natural area of land, and sightseeing was our first activity.
The Sky Park at 900 Kandi was a lush, peaceful haven surrounded by dense woodlands. It was a place that should not be missed by anyone looking for a change of scenery and a restorative respite from nature.
We enjoyed some of the adventurous activities during our trip. It includes visiting the treetop viewpoint, the glass bridge, engaging in archery shooting, using the ropes play area, and cricket net practice. The sight of fog slowly rising from the valleys to the tops of the hills was an unforgettable experience.
DELIGHTFUL TIME WITH INFOLKSIANS
After a While, we returned to Vythiri Meadows. And we reached the resort, where our evening began with a great cup of tea and some goodies.
A cold, foggy night breeze blows. We enjoy swimming in the pool, watching the picturesque views of the misty mountain ranges. A chilly night in the Wayanad’s freezing water. Super hungry, where we freshened up and rushed towards the dining area. We jumped on to the meal to get energised.
We had some good time to rejuvenate and blend the hidden talents of Infolksians. We engaged in games, had a DJ night, and had a campfire. And at late-night we muse with our best friends.
COMPANY ANNUAL TRIP (DAY – 2)
A GLANCE BACK IN TIME
The heritage village was our next destination. To appreciate, grasp, and enjoy the beauty of En Ooru, we set out to walk. We conquered En Ooru after a 1.5 kilometers walk.
En Ooru is a tribal heritage village at Pookode in Wayanad district that showcases the vibrant culture and tradition of tribal communities in the state. The place provided a very restful and revitalising time. At the instant, We sat for a while near the tribal village to enjoy the gorgeous scenery all around us. A cluster of traditional tribal huts, roofed with hay and set against the backdrop of towering hills, has become a major tourist attraction in the region.
At that moment, we wished we had a day extra in this serene town. We get back from Wayanad at 12 pm and carry on our journey back to our office.
BACK TO INFOLKS
I’d like to tell you something: we were standing and admiring Wayanad like it was a dream!
Two days of fun, laughter, and memories, it was a beautiful fusion of culture, history, and environment. Everything from mountains to valleys to lakes to waterfalls to woods sings in perfect harmony. We had a great time and made many memories that we all took home with us. We captured reels for the memory of Wayanad diaries. Afterall, the annual company trip was incredible. We thank the management for organizing such a wonderful trip.
